Ownership
No hostages. No mystery keys.
A church website should remain the church's work, even when someone else helps build or host it.
What ownership means here
Your domain
The church should be the registrant, with its own billing and recovery access.
Your content
Writing, sermons, photographs, documents, recordings, and branding remain with their rights holders.
Your choices
The church may select another host, administrator, or platform without asking permission.
Your copy
Source files, media, documentation, and usable backups travel with the church.
Your Timeframe
You can leave it on my server, or move it. The goal is to have your website up and running and usable—the rest is gravy!
When it is time to move
We will provide the repository, explain the system, identify accounts and costs, and help the receiving administrator understand the deployment. Migration assistance is part of responsible stewardship, not a penalty.
No technical trick, closed format, or withheld credential should make continued dependence the easiest option.
Excellent. Here are the keys.
